What is ACU SIFE?
The Australian Catholic University (ACU) SIFE team is a subsidiary not-for-profit chapter of SIFE AUSTRALIA and SIFE INTERNATIONAL. Students are empowered to teach ethical entrepreneurship and business conducts in their local communities.
SIFE students demonstrate practical managerial skills, have hands-on experience and are committed to sustainable business. Working in partnership with business and higher education, SIFE establishes student teams on university campuses. These teams are led by faculty advisors and they are challenged to develop quality community outreach projects that reach six educational criteria:
- Market Economics
- Success Skills
- Entrepreneurship
- Financial Literacy
- Sustainability
- Environmental Sustainability
- Business Ethics
ACU SIFEs mission statement is To create sustainable outreach projects that make that make a positive difference to the community. SIFE students will further develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills whilst learning, practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise, which encourage excellence, equity and ethics."ACU SIFE knows the key to achieving the mission is to implement the best projects with the greatest impact. It is these projects that are at the heart of ACU SIFE and its future success The team consists primarily of Bachelor of Business Students , Faculty Advisors and Mentors from the School of Business at the Melbourne Campus
We want to promote entrepreneurship across all of Australian Catholic University's campus and faculties, Our teams consist of students from a broad range of degree courses, from 1st year Commerce to Arts and even Nursing.
